Plant extracts by source and preparation.

Compare plant-based ingredient materials by their named botanical, plant part, listed extract specification and physical form. The selection includes ratio extracts and botanical powders; a ratio and an active-marker assay are different measurements.

Before you shortlist

Start with the species and plant part

A botanical name, a plant part and an extraction description answer different identity questions. Review them together before comparing a ratio or a price.

  1. 01

    Botanical identity and source part

Match the Latin name and the part of the plant to the proposed sample.

  2. 02

    Extract type and composition

Ask whether the offered material is a whole powder, ratio extract or named-marker grade.

  3. 03

    Requested identity and marker methods

Keep the source description separate from a current technical specification.

Questions before you shortlist

Should I start with a plant name or a marker specification?

Start here when botanical identity, plant part and preparation define the requirement. If your brief begins with a named marker and an assay basis, use the standardized-extract selection route, then open the exact material record.

What should I include when the extract name is not enough?

Name the botanical and part if known, describe the intended use, and identify any required ratio, marker, carrier or form. Unknown details can remain questions in the enquiry; do not substitute a photograph for identity evidence.

Your next step

Prepare a category enquiry

Describe what you know about the material and intended use. You can ask for help with an unresolved specification; a confirmed MOQ, sample offer or delivery date is not assumed.
